early month
Migratory birds of fall such as Red-breasted Mergansers and Common Scoters return.
A group of Jays comes to woods to get acorns.
A rare migratory bird, Oystercatchers return.
The first group of Whooper Swans returns.
When the weather is stormy, Long-tailed Skuas, Short-tailed Shearwaters, O.leucorhoas and Laysan Albatrosses escape to the seashore.

A colony of Aster tripoliums is seen between the Shunkunitai parking and marsh around the parking. It is full bloom.
Fall flowers such as Gentana triflora and Aconitum sachalinenses start to die.
Miscanthus sinensises are in full bloom. Its color is beautiful bright silver in the evening sun.
The acorns of Sorbus Commixta Hedl Var and nuts of the Juglans mandshurica Maximvar Sachlinensises start to fall down.
We can see Sciurus vulgaris orientis (squirrels) eat the nuts on the trees.
Tamias sibiricus (squirrels) start to carry the nuts to their nest for winter.
the middle of month

 The number of a kind of gulls reaches to the peak. 20,000`30,000 of the birds stays at all over Lake Furen.

The color of Solicornia europaeas turns deep red.

Aster tripoliums start to die.
Vitis coignetiae Pulliat ex Planch and Cercidiphyllum japonicum Siebold turn red.
You may spot a group of dolphins swimming when the sea is calm.
the end of month
Hen Harriers return to the marsh.
Long-tailed Ducks and Goldeneyes return.
The number of Whooper Swans around Shunkunitai and Onneto increase to about 500. It depends on the year.

It is the mating season of deer. They make a harem. You may see the deer competing with their antlers.
